This year, DOK Leipzig will once again present the Young Eyes Award, which is given by the youth jury. Twelve young people will come together this week to evaluate the films and select the best one.

Three of us Spotters watched the film “Fantastique”
by Prins Marjolijn at Cinestar on Thursday. It tells the story of “Fanta,” a girl from Guinea with a big dream of working as a famous circus acrobat. We were taken through times of despair and failure, on a journey that will only partially bring “Fanta” to her goal. “Fantastique” was the last film to be screened in the competition for the “Young Eyes Award.”
71 minutes and a large cup of popcorn later, we met the youth jury and asked them what it means to be a member:
