We did what we always do

The film “A Quiet Resistance” tells about the life of Erika and Tine, both 81 years old and have been a couple for 40 years.

They live on a farm in Brandenburg, which they have renovated themselves. There they lead an unconventional and, despite all the difficulties of getting older, a very humorous and free life.

In the film, they talk about their life in the GDR and how they were spied on by the Stasi. However, they are not embittered at all, but see things positively – and that’s very admirable.

We met them after their world premiere and interviewed them.

We also talked to director Therese Koppe, who accompanied Erika and Tine for the film.
